I think that your product is amazing. It’s one of the tools I use the most in my job and it really makes my life simpler when doing definitions.
You guys have built something that’s actually fundamentally very useful. If Alloy disappeared today, I’d be like, ah, what do I use now?
Alloy is probably the one I use most, especially if I’m talking to users and showing them a prototype. It’s just easier for them to understand when it actually looks like our product.
I’m able to just ship things on my own without talking to anybody — I just use Alloy to do the design. It just fits in my workflow of just shipping things.
Almost every day I’m using Alloy. My PMs also like it a lot, receiving the Alloy prototype to review and send some feedback.
I really like the Alloy app. I’ve already bought it at two companies.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a ChatGPT design product?
No. OpenAI does not currently offer a dedicated design product comparable to Claude Design. Instead, you can connect your ChatGPT subscription to Alloy and use supported OpenAI models to design and prototype product UI and websites in a live browser workspace.
Can ChatGPT be used for graphic design and image design?
Yes. ChatGPT can help develop creative directions, refine briefs, generate image concepts, and iterate on visual assets. In Alloy, those graphics and images can be created in the same session as the interface or website that uses them, so you can judge the asset in context instead of treating it as a disconnected file.
Can ChatGPT design a website?
Yes. ChatGPT can help with a site map, copy, layout direction, imagery, and front-end code. Alloy turns that work into a browser-based website builder: prompt complete pages, inspect the live result, iterate visually, share the site as a link, and move code into GitHub when it is ready.
How can product managers use ChatGPT for design?
Product managers can use ChatGPT to turn a brief, PRD, customer request, or rough idea into a working interface. Start from an existing product page or codebase in Alloy, prompt the change, then share the interactive result with customers, designers, and engineers. That makes the prototype the discussion artifact instead of another written specification.
Can I use my existing ChatGPT subscription in Alloy?
Yes. Alloy Pro subscribers can connect an active ChatGPT Plus or Pro subscription through OpenAI’s device authorization flow. The connection is personal to your Alloy account and works in both prototype and dev sessions.
Does using my ChatGPT subscription consume Alloy credits?
Supported OpenAI model usage routed through your connected ChatGPT subscription does not consume Alloy credits for those iterations. Usage remains subject to your ChatGPT plan limits, and Alloy does not automatically spend credits if you reach that limit.
Does ChatGPT replace a product or graphic designer?
No. ChatGPT speeds up exploration and production, but people still set the brief, judge quality, check accessibility, protect brand consistency, and decide what should ship. It is most useful as a fast design collaborator that makes ideas tangible earlier.
Can I share a ChatGPT-designed prototype?
Yes. Every Alloy session can be shared as a live link for feedback from customers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
